How to choose Flat roof photovoltaic suppor

Selecting the appropriate PV support for a flat roof can be a complex task involving multiple variables. Firstly, you must determine the type of roof and whether it is pitched or flat. Secondly, take into account the size and weight of the PV panels; if they are huge and heavy, more support will be required. Finally, calculate the wind load on the roof, since stronger gusts will necessitate more supports.

The PV support landscape offers a variety of different choices. Ground mounts reign as the most popular type of support, mainly because they are better suited to gracing larger PV systems. Sad to say, they tend to be the priciest too. Roof mounts provide budget-friendly alternatives but cannot quite match ground mounts in terms of sturdiness. Usually selected for smaller PV systems, they prove to be the practical and economical way to go. Pole mounts occupy the bottom of the price band but are also not particularly strong. Solely recommended for really petite PV systems, they stretch your dollar and nothing more.

You need to deliberate the type and measurement of the roof you own, along with the size and bulk of your PV panels and the consequence of wind effects on it.
